Dr S Baliyan
Lecturer
Faculty of Agri-Business, Education and Extension (Department of Agricultural Education, Extension and Rural Development)
Dr Baliyan holds degrees of PhD in Education (Research and Evaluation), DEd (Education Management), MEd (Research and Evaluation), BEd, MSc in Agriculture (Agricultural Economics) and a BSc in Agriculture Honours. He has about 27 years’ experience in teaching and research in the formal and informal education systems at different levels of education institutions. He has authored four theses for his two Masters and two Doctoral degrees. He has published 34 articles in peer reviewed international journals and, presented over a dozen articles in international conferences. His is specialised in quantitative research focusing on the wider areas of agricultural education and development, educational management, educational research and evaluation, secondary and higher education. He is an editorial board member of number of international research journals. He is a long serving member of the Botswana Educational Research Association (BERA) and, currently serving as the Vice Secretary of BERA

Dixon Olutade Torimiro

Dixon Olutade Torimiro (PhD) is a Federal Government Scholar and a full Professor of Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria since 2009. He headed the Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development from 2006 to 2008, and Coordinated Pre-degree Programme from 2017 to 2019. He was a Visiting Scientist at Cape Breton University, Nova Scotia, Canada (2013), Contract Professor at the Botswana College of Agriculture, Gaborone (2013-2015), and 2016 ECOWAS-AAU Fellow at the Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension, North West University, South Africa; and Intermational Extension Scholar in Residence at the Ohio State University, Columbus, USA in 2019. He has won a good number of research and travel grants including: CODESRIA, AAU/DFID, IDRC, ESRC. Prof. Torimiro was a member of College of Research Associate, Institute of Natural Resources in Africa, United Nations University, Ghana in 2002; and member of the Board of Advisor, American Biographical Institute. He also serves as Independent Evaluation Expert to European Commission (EC), Brussels, Belgium and Association of African Universities (AAU), Accra, Ghana. He has served in about 25 universities in a good number of countries as either an external examiner, professorial assessor, visiting Scholar, sabbatical, research fellow, among others. He is currently on the Board of Trustees, Crawford University, Igbesa, Nigeria and on the academic list of the Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development, Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Gaborone.

Have had opportunity to be at positions of responsibility as Senior Teacher, Deputy Headmaster, Senior Education Officer (In-service training), Principal Education Officers (Pre-service): Overseeing practical subject at Colleges of Education in Botswana and currently HoD in the department of Agricultural Education , Extension and Rural Development.
Have had the opportunity to lead Agriculture National Panel (2019-date) for the development of the Multiple pathways Agriculture Curriculum and serves in the Agriculture Advisory Committee at Botswana Examinations Council. Led development of academic programmes in the department
