Khumoetsile  Mmolawa is an  Irrigation Engineering specialist with the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering. He holds a PhD (Irrigation Engineering) from Utah State University, USA, MSc (Irrigation Engineering) from the Cranfield Institute of Technology, UK and  BSc (Mathematics & Physics) from the University of Botswana. Prof Mmolawa was a student member of the American Society of Agricultural Engineers (ASAE, 1996-2000) and a professional member of the American Society of Agricultural Engineers (ASAE, 2000-2001). He is now a professional engineer registered with the Engineering Registration Board (ERB) in Botswana. He has served as Head of Department, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, and Acting Vice Chancellor. He has also served on regional professional bodies such as the Southern African Regional Irrigation Association (SARIA, 2000 - 2007), which is based in Pretoria
